Healthy chocolate slice recipe

Let’s face it, sometimes we just NEED a choccy fix. You know what I’m talking about, we’ve all been there after a tough day or when you just crave something delish to go with your mid-morning coffee. Well, don’t reach for that super-processed chocolate bar because we have a recipe that will satisfy all your cravings in a kinda healthy way.

And the best part is, it’s so easy to make (and it tastes like a Snickers bar!) So here it is, sourced from the incredible Wholefood Simply and cooked by yours-truly (do people actually say that anymore?), it’s the delicious, the moreish…

Healthy chocolate slice

6 Tbsp Peanut butter (or your favourite more healthy style of nut-butter)
3 Tbsp Coconut Oil (or macadamia oil etc)
3 Tbsp Honey (or rice malt syrup/maple syrup)
2 Tbsp Sacred Grounds Organic Drinking chocolate
1/2 teas concentrated natural vanilla essence
Pinch of salt
1/2 cup cashews


Combine all ingredients except for the cashews.

Pop the cashews (or nut of choice) in a sandwich bag, head outside and grab your rolling pin for some free therapy! Give the nuts a good one-two with your rolling pin until they’re all crushed a little (not too much).

Add the crushed nuts to the rest of the mixture, then pour into a lined loaf tin. Place in your fridge for a few hours until set.

Then slice up, eat, make a Sacred Ground Organic coffee and enjoy!
