You can’t tell by looking at it but this Healthy Mocha Smoothie has some pretty impressive surprise ingredients including 1/2 a frozen zucchini (wow!), our delish Sacred Blend coffee and some things you may not have heard of before like Lucuma and Maca.
Lucuma is a powder derived from a Peruvian fruit, packed with awesome nutritious super-powers such as calcium, anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals and can work as a low GI sweetener. Bonus!
The next ingredient is no fruit but made from a root that looks like a yellow beetroot. Yep Maca is a force to be reckoned with… in a good way. It’s full of goodies like anti-oxidants, a range of vitamins and minerals including Calcium, Magnesium, Iron, Zinc and more! Healthy Mocha Smoothie
200ml Unsweetened Almond Milk
1.5 Frozen Bananas
1/2 Frozen Zucchini
1 tbsp Almond Butter
1 tbsp Ground Linseed (LSA)
1 tbsp Cacao Powder (generous)
1 Serve of Cacao Protein Powder
1 Espresso Shot (we recommend Sacred Blend)
Extra Cacao Powder
1 tsp Lucuma
1 tsp Maca
1. Blend all ingredients ( including Lucuma and Maca) except for cacao nibs and extra cacao powder.
2. Pour into glass of choice
3. Sprinkle with cacao nibs and extra cacao powder.
Drink up and enjoy. Easy peasy!
